China News Service, April 4th (Wang Zitao) The command center of the Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration received the report at 11:45 on the 4th, at about 10:45, the bulk carrier of a Nanjing company with a length of 134 meters and more than 10,000 tons of steel was received. A certain ship drove to the entrance of the Huangpu River to the Dongjiadu water area out of control and rubbed against the bank of the east side of Pudong Riverside, causing partial deformation of the riverside guardrail, and the flood control wall was not damaged.

  The ship’s starboard bow was sunken, and 16 crew members were on board. No one was injured and no pollution occurred.

  The Huangpu Maritime Safety Administration sent 2 maritime patrol boats and coordinated a tugboat to the site for disposal. The Huangpu Administration notified the Binjiang owners of the relevant situation.

  The cause of the accident is pending further maritime investigation.
