Miyagi Prefecture and Sendai City announced on the 3rd that 136 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
Of these, 82 people were confirmed to be infected in Sendai City.
The cumulative total of infected people in the prefecture is 6423, including those who have already recovered.
The prefecture also revealed that eight of the infected people had been infected with the mutated virus, and the total number of confirmed infections of the mutated virus in the prefecture was 11.
