Kagawa Prefecture has decided to raise the prefecture's own alert level and request restaurants to shorten their business hours from the 7th of this month, saying that the number of people infected with the new coronavirus is increasing rapidly.

In Kagawa Prefecture, it was announced on the 3rd that 16 people in Takamatsu City were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.

As a result, 106 infected people have been confirmed in the last week in Kagawa prefecture, which is more than 17 times the number in the previous week.

In response to this, Governor Hamada of Kagawa Prefecture announced that he would raise the prefecture's own alert level to the second from the top of the six levels, the "Infection Spread Prevention Intensive Measures Period," for three weeks starting on the 4th.

During the period, we request the citizens of the prefecture to refrain from unnecessary and unurgent movement to the target area of "priority measures such as prevention of spread", and also pay for accommodation expenses that people living in Kagawa prefecture make when traveling in the prefecture. The subsidy will also be postponed.

In addition, for the two weeks starting from the 7th of this month, restaurants in the prefecture, excluding take-out specialty stores, will be requested to shorten their business hours to 9 pm and to serve alcoholic beverages by 8 pm.

It means that we will provide a cooperation fee of 40,000 yen per day to the companies that cooperated.
