It is noted that Lyubimov was "one of the founders of HSE and made an invaluable contribution to its development."
He was the first vice-rector of the university since 1995, and in 2006 he became Deputy Academic Supervisor of the State University - Higher School of Economics.
"We will inform you about the date and place of farewell to Lev Lyubimov later," added in the message.
