In addition,
120 new deaths were
recorded
within 24 hours
.
That comes from the numbers of the RKI from Saturday.
Exactly one week ago, the RKI had recorded 20,472 new infections and 157 new deaths within one day.
The data reflect the status of the RKI dashboard from 05:05 a.m., subsequent changes or additions to the RKI are possible.
In the current management report, the RKI rates “the overall health risk in Germany as very high.” The high nationwide case numbers are caused by “mostly diffuse events with numerous accumulations, particularly in households, in the professional environment and in old people's and nursing homes ".
According to Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn, more than twelve percent of Germans have been vaccinated against the corona virus at least once.

The RKI has counted 2,873,190 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 in Germany since the beginning of the pandemic.
The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.
The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at around 2,560,400.
The total number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 76,895.
According to the RKI situation report on Saturday, the

seven-day R-value
was
1.02
(previous day: 1.03).
This means that 100 infected people theoretically infect 102 more people.
