  According to the organizer, the "Nanjing Historical Document Database" is based on the "Jinling Quanshu" collected, compiled and published by Nanjing Publishing Media Group, and is a digital publishing result developed by Gulian (Beijing) Digital Media Technology Co., Ltd.

  At the meeting, the leaders of Nanjing Publishing and Media Group and Zhonghua Book Company jointly launched the launch ceremony of the "Nanjing Historical Document Database" and announced the official launch of the "Nanjing Historical Document Database".

The two parties also signed a strategic cooperation agreement to lay the foundation for the subsequent deepening of cooperation and development.

Experts at the meeting believed that the basic purpose of "Nanjing Historical Document Database" is to preserve and popularize Nanjing culture, and to better serve Nanjing cultural research with the help of new technologies, to realize the interconnection of the original texts of ancient books and the results of collation on the academic foundation.   It is reported that since the start of the compilation of "The Complete Book of Jinling" on December 24, 2009, it has gone through more than ten years and has published a total of 280 volumes.

The "Nanjing Historical Document Database" launched this time is the 70-volume "Jinling Quanshu" in the first phase of the project, including "Jingding Jiankang Zhi", "Zhizheng Jinling New Records" and many other important documents that record the history of Nanjing in various dynasties.

  In addition, the database not only supports functions such as full-text search, copying and adding notes, but also provides readers with practical tools such as "transformation from traditional to simplified version" and "chronological conversion" to give full play to the advantages of digital technology in document collation and document reading.
