Toyama Prefecture announced that it has been newly confirmed that a total of three people in their teens to 50s living in Toyama City and Imizu City are infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 942 people were confirmed to be infected in the prefecture.
The prefecture also revealed that one of the people confirmed to be infected late last month was newly infected with the mutant virus.
This brings the total number of people confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus in the prefecture to 10.
