Tochigi Prefecture announced on the 2nd that it was found that seven new coronavirus-infected persons had been infected with the mutated virus among the people infected with the new coronavirus that had been confirmed in the prefecture.

According to the prefecture, a total of seven men and women in their 20s and 60s living in the prefecture were newly found to be infected with the mutant virus.



None of them have traveled abroad and are mildly ill.



Of these, five men in their twenties are contacts of another man who has already been confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus.



Also, two men and women in their 60s were in contact with each other.



With this, a total of 13 people have been confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus in the prefecture.
