The Kingfish Hunting Competition at Al Dhafra Marine Festival witnessed the participation of women to catch the largest kingfish fish, as Lamia Al-Saqal presented to the competition site and handed over her and her friends' catches, registering the first female participation in the competition.

Lamia Al-Saqal expressed her happiness to participate in the Al Dhafra Marine Festival, which combines traditional and modern races, and encourages youth's hobbies in relation to marine sports such as fishing.

The organizing committee allocated a prize of 100,000 dirhams to the first place winner, while the second place winner receives 60,000 dirhams, the third 40,000 dirhams, the fourth 20,000 dirhams, the fifth 10,000 dirhams, and 6,000 dirhams for each center from the sixth to the ten.
