On April 2, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Super Project Deep-Medium Corridor renewed a good news. The S08 contract section of the Shenzhen-Medium Corridor project was released from the dock. It is reported that the E30 pipe joint is a deep-medium corridor immersed tube. Among the 32 pipe joints in the tunnel, the curvature changes the most, and the prefabrication is difficult.

  The E30 pipe section is the third pipe section with an ultra-wide and variable-width asymmetric structure on the curve axis of the deep-medium channel immersed tube tunnel. The type width of the pipe section gradually widens from 49.7 meters to 53.5 meters, and the structure changes nearly 4 meters. The wide design makes E30 the pipe section with the largest curvature change among all immersed pipes in the deep and medium channel immersed pipe tunnel.

After the pipe joints are poured, they weigh about 63,000 tons, which is comparable to the displacement of a medium-sized aircraft carrier.

  The Deep-Medium Corridor is the core passage of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is a world-class cross-sea project integrating "bridges, islands, tunnels, and underwater intercommunication". After completion, it will effectively release the pressure on the traffic network of the Pearl River Estuary in Guangdong.
