More than 90% of the sections along the line are above 3000 meters above sea level, and it crosses the Yarlung Zangbo River 16 times. , The bridge-tunnel ratio is as high as 74.66%.

Up to now, the main work of laying bridges, tunnels and subgrades on the Lalin railway line has been completed, and the conditions for static acceptance have been met.

  When the Lalin Railway is opened to traffic, the "Fuxing" high-altitude dual-source power centralized EMU will enter Tibet and drive to Lhasa. From then on, the "Fuxing" EMU will reach 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in mainland China. Coverage, the journey from Lhasa to Linzhi will be shortened from the original 5 hours of road transportation to about 3.5 hours.
