The autonomous communities have notified the Ministry of Health this Thursday 7,041 new cases of

COVID-19

, 4,123 of them diagnosed in the last 24 hours.

These figures are higher than those of the same day last week, when 6,393 positives were reported.

The total number of infections in Spain has already risen to 3,291,394 since the start of the pandemic, according to official statistics.

The accumulated incidence in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants stands at 154.76, compared to 152.25 yesterday

In the past two weeks, a total of 73,433 positives have been registered.

82 new deaths were added to this Thursday's report, compared to 356 last Thursday.

Up to 75,541 people with a positive diagnostic test have died since the virus arrived in Spain, according to official data provided by the Ministry.

In the last week, 268 people with a confirmed positive COVID-19 diagnosis have died in Spain.

Aragon and La Rioja return to high risk

The accumulated incidence continues to increase in Spain to 154.7 cases, two points more than on Wednesday, with 7,041 more infections in 24 hours and the communities of Aragon and La Rioja already at high risk.

Navarra and Madrid, together with Ceuta and Melilla, continue to be the autonomous communities and cities at extreme risk due to their cumulative incidence exceeding 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.

In the case of

Madrid, it stands at 279.4 cases, 14.6 points more

than yesterday, while Navarra has an incidence of 307 cases compared to yesterday's 292.2.

The autonomous cities have seen this index drop to 469.7 cases in the case of Melilla (475.4 yesterday) and 293.3 in Ceuta (294.3 yesterday).

In addition to Aragon and La Rioja, at high risk (more than 150 cases) are the Basque Country (241.9), Catalonia (206.1) and Asturias (162), while the Valencian Community remains in a new normality (28, 8).

Occupancy in the ucis, with 1,843 covid patients (12 more than yesterday) remains at 18.4%, while hospital pressure drops slightly to 6.3%, and there are 7,937 patients admitted (146 less).
