During his speech on Wednesday evening, Emmanuel Macron recalled a figure: 8.5 million people received at least one injection (or 12.7% of the total population), and nearly 2.9 million people received their two doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

For the Head of State, vaccination is "the key to reconnecting with life".

And he even set a very precise timetable for the French not yet vaccinated.

Delivery of nearly 13 million doses in April

"We put all the means to vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate. Without respite, without holidays, Saturday and Sunday, like the week. From April 16, the first appointments will be granted to people between 60 and 70 years old. years; from May 15, the first appointments will be open for our fellow citizens who are between 50 and 60 years old; and from mid-June, the appointments will be open to all French people under 50 years, ”he promised.

A vaccination schedule that the Head of State believes he can keep, the latter having specified that the deliveries of vaccines in the coming months will be much more substantial.

Indeed, if pharmaceutical companies respect their commitments, France will receive nearly 13 million doses in April, or as many as for the months of February and March combined.

Rate of 330,000 injections per day

The ramp-up will then continue and intensify with 17 million doses expected in May and 26 million in June.

In the coming days, super-vaccination centers will open all over the country with the clear objective of providing between 1,000 and 2,000 injections per day in each vaccinodrome.
