The health authorities in Germany
reported

In addition,

within 24 hours

That comes from the numbers of the RKI from Thursday.
Exactly one week ago, the RKI had recorded 22,657 new infections and 228 new deaths within one day.
The data reflect the status of the RKI dashboard from 5.30 a.m., subsequent changes or additions to the RKI are possible.
According to the RKI, the
number of new infections reported within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants (
seven-day incidence

nationwide on Thursday morning
- and thus slightly above the level from the previous day (132.3).
The RKI has counted
2,833,173 detected infections
with Sars-CoV-2 in Germany
since the beginning of the pandemic
.
The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.
The number of
convalescent
gave the RKI with about
2,535,000
on.
The total number of people suffering from or involving a proven infection with SARS-CoV 2
dead
are rising to
76,543

The nationwide
seven-day R-value
was
0.97
according to the RKI situation report from Wednesday evening
(previous day: 1.01).
This means that 100 infected people theoretically infect 97 more people.
The value represents the occurrence of the infection 8 to 16 days ago.
If it is below 1 for a longer period of time, the infection process subsides;
if it is consistently higher, the number of cases increases.
According to data from the RKI, the highest seven-day incidence in Germany is in the
district of Greiz (599.6)
in Thuringia.
The federal state is in first place in the table of federal states with an incidence of 254.
This is followed by Saxony (190) and Saxony-Anhalt (162).
