On the night of the 1st, a boy about 10 years old was hit by a train and died on the JR Utsunomiya Line in Kita-ku, Tokyo.

The boy was walking alone on the railroad tracks, so police are checking his identity and investigating the details of the accident.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, after 8:30 pm on the 1st, a boy about 10 years old was hit by a regular train going down to Utsunomiya on the railroad track between Oku Station and Akabane Station in Kita-ku, Tokyo.



The boy was taken to a nearby hospital but died about an hour later.



The train driver said, "I saw a boy walking alone on the railroad tracks in the same direction as the train traveled. I bumped into it from behind."



The boy was wearing a red sweatshirt, black jersey long trousers, and shoes that seemed to belong to him were falling nearby.



About 200 meters from the railroad crossing, there were no guardians nearby and I had nothing, so the Metropolitan Police Department is proceeding with confirmation of identity and investigating the details of the accident.
