In the evening of the same day, Tan Yaozong, a member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress who returned to Hong Kong from Beijing, met with the media and said that this revision is aimed at plugging loopholes in Hong Kong’s election system in the past and avoiding the use of elections by anti-China elements to enter Hong Kong’s governance structure. Fully ensure that "patriots govern Hong Kong."

  Tan Yaozong pointed out that the newly revised Annex I and Annex II of the Hong Kong Basic Law were passed unanimously by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. There was warm applause at the scene, reflecting everyone's support for this revision.

He also believes that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government will do a good job in follow-up related work.

  The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam said on her personal social platform that national security and regime security are indispensable. In addition to trying her best to provide public commentary locally, she and her team will also refute the fallacies of certain overseas organizations and politicians and offer advice. Instead of interfering in China’s internal affairs in violation of international law, they should take care of the human rights issues in their own countries.

  The Director of the Civil Service Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Nie Dequan, stated on his personal social platform that the civil servants of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government are an important part of the political system of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and shoulder the responsibility of implementing "One Country, Two Systems" and supporting the Chief Executive and the Special Administrative Region Government.

It is hoped that Hong Kong will get rid of chaos at an early date and return to the right track, national security will be guaranteed, and social stability will be restored. The new election arrangements will allow more loyal and capable people to join the SAR political system and strive for stability and long-term development of "One Country, Two Systems".

  Yang Runxiong, Director of the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, expressed that he hopes that after the system is improved, the work of Hong Kong's executive and legislative bodies will be smoother, and the implementation of various "people-oriented" policies and measures will be accelerated to maintain Hong Kong's prosperity, stability and sustainable development.

  Non-official members of the Executive Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region issued a statement on the 30th that the relevant amendments of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress can plug loopholes in Hong Kong's electoral system and deal with the chaos in Hong Kong over the past few years, allowing Hong Kong to return to the right track of "one country, two systems".
