Kanagawa Prefecture announced on the 31st that it was confirmed that 13 men and women living in the prefecture were infected with the newly mutated coronavirus.

From the middle to the end of this month, 13 men and women under the age of 10 to 60s living in the prefecture who were found to be infected with the new coronavirus were newly confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus.



Of these, men in their thirties with underlying illness were considered moderate when the infection was confirmed, but are now severe.



Another man in his thirties, who was initially considered mild and was being treated at home, is now moderately ill.



In Kanagawa prefecture, people infected with the mutant virus have been confirmed one after another since last month, and the total number is 70.
