) has closed the financial year 2020 with a positive result despite the pandemic, which has meant "reduction of advertising revenue" and "extraordinary expenses", and despite "having received less public contribution compared to the forecast of the program contract ".

Specifically, RTVM has closed 2020 with

a positive operating result of 791,000 euros

and a positive net result of 684,000 euros, according to a statement.

The liquidity flow generated during the 2020 financial year amounts to 3.22 million euros and the surplus for the year is 4.61 million euros.

The Community of Madrid

has contributed 74.8 million euros to RTVM

, as in the past year and "below the budget forecast established in the program contract for the 2018-2020 period," explains the chain.

This has had a negative impact of 2.55 million euros on the revenue forecast, to which has been added the reduction in advertising revenue, which has been 5.77 million, with

a negative effect of 1.4 million euros

and from the established measures derived from Covid-19, which have involved expenses of 1.9 million euros, according to RTVM data.

The reduction in operating expenses "to guarantee compliance with the economic magnitudes of the budget" have absorbed the negative impact of 5.45 million euros on RTVM's accounts, which "shows the flexibility of the production model" of Telemadrid.

However, Telemadrid has achieved in 2020

"the best audience in the last 9 years"

with an index of 6.3% and chain three years of growth
