In January 2004, the small community of Knutby, outside Uppsala, was shaken by a murder drama.

One person was shot dead and another seriously injured.

The crime had clear connections to the small Christian congregation that lay in the community.

Later, the parish pastor, Helge Fossmo, was sentenced to life imprisonment for inciting the murder of his wife and another parish member Sara Svensson was sentenced to Forensic Psychiatric Care.

Now this acclaimed lawsuit will be portrayed in the new documentary Knutby in blind faith.

- This is a story about abuse of power, partly within the parish, but also with the police and prosecutors, says Martin Johnson, who is behind the documentary.

Knutby in blind faith is shown on HBO Nordic.
