A hotel in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo has renovated the banquet hall and opened a clinic specializing in testing in order to create an environment that makes it easier to receive PCR tests for the new coronavirus.

This clinic was opened on the 30th by the Shinjuku Prince Hotel in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, in collaboration with medical corporations in Minato-ku, Tokyo.

The clinic is located on the second basement floor of the hotel, and the banquet hall, which has been reduced in use due to the effects of the new coronavirus, has been converted into a clinic specializing in PCR testing.

Advance reservations are required for consultation, and a doctor will collect a sample from the mucous membrane of the nose.

The result will be known in about 3 hours and can be confirmed with the dedicated smartphone app.

The clinic is expected to receive medical examinations from hotel guests and Seibu-Shinjuku Station passengers in the same building, and it also offers a service that allows attendees of weddings held at the hotel to undergo inspections.

Takashi Goto, president of Seibu Holdings, which owns this hotel, said, "Because it is a highly convenient place, we would like you to feel free to undergo inspections and deliver peace of mind and safety."
