China News Service, Hong Kong, March 30 (Reporter Shi Bingyun) On the 30th, many political organizations in Hong Kong voiced their welcome and full support for the amendments to Annex I and Annex II of the Hong Kong Basic Law that the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress deliberated and approved on the same day. Reflecting the principle of balanced participation in the Hong Kong Basic Law will help enhance Hong Kong's governance efficiency and ensure that "Hong Kong people govern Hong Kong" with patriots as the main body.

The Hong Kong Democratic Alliance for the Advancement of Hong Kong (DAB) believes that the amendment of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress conforms to the national constitution, the Basic Law and the actual conditions of Hong Kong, conforms to the expectations of all walks of life, is constitutional, legal, reasonable, and authoritative that cannot be challenged.

The DAB believes that the revised plan involves the election of the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the election committee and the Legislative Council election system, and comprehensively repairs loopholes in Hong Kong's original election system.

The Election Committee adds a fifth sector and resumes the election of representatives of functional groups based on group voters. This will allow more patriots to participate, help strengthen national awareness and promote Hong Kong's integration into the overall development of the country.

As for the no longer inclusion of the district councils, the district councils can be depoliticized and return to the original intention of providing services to the public and serving as the government's district administrative advisory structure.

The DAB will fully cooperate with the SAR government in following up the details of the election and local legislative work.

The Hong Kong New Democrat Party issued a statement that day supporting the relevant amendments of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and improving the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region election system.

It is believed that after the amendment, the number of the Election Committee will be expanded to 1,500, and the sector will be increased to the five major sectors, which expands the base of voters, can better reflect the broad representation, and further reflect the principle of balanced participation in the Basic Law.

As for the Legislative Council, the number of members has increased to 90 after the amendment. The new composition also allows more talents from different classes, sectors, and different professions to join, allowing the Legislative Council to perform greater functions.

The New Democratic Party believes that the ultimate goal of any political system is to promote good control, revitalize the economy, and improve people's livelihood. The electoral system of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region must be optimized according to the actual situation, keep pace with the times, and embody the spirit of "patriots ruling Hong Kong".

The Hong Kong Restart Alliance stated that the relevant amendments made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress conform to the Constitution, the Basic Law and the actual situation in Hong Kong, and have a solid foundation of public opinion.

The revised election plan has also improved the governance efficiency of the SAR government, strengthened the administrative-led system, and laid a solid foundation for the future prosperity and development of Hong Kong society.

The organization supports the SAR government to implement local legislation on the new amendments as soon as possible, which will help Hong Kong focus on the development of the economy and people's livelihood and gradually resolve the deep-seated social contradictions.
