4,974 patients are currently in intensive care in France due to Covid-19, more than the peak reached during the second wave, 4,903 patients on November 16.

This figure is still far from the peak of the first wave, however, with 7,019 patients on April 8.

Note that each of these two previous peaks had been reached several weeks after the implementation of containment at the national level, which has not (yet?) Been decided at present for France.

The government nevertheless warned that new measures could be put in place in the coming days depending on the evolution of the health crisis.
