A man who left Cape Nosappu in Hokkaido on an electric tricycle equipped with solar panels and traversed Honshu arrived at Cape Sata in Kagoshima Prefecture on the 28th.

This challenge was taken by film director Takushi Chikakane, who left Cape Nosappu, the easternmost point of Hokkaido, last October.

Mr. Chikakane continued to run on an electric tricycle for five months, and arrived at Cape Sata in Minami Osumi Town, Kagoshima Prefecture, which is known as the southernmost place in Kyushu, around 1 pm on the 28th.

According to Mr. Chikakane, it took three months to develop an electric tricycle equipped with solar panels and batteries.

The mileage was about 3800 km, and during the period of the state of emergency, we refrained from moving across the prefectural border, so the arrival was delayed by about 3 months from the original schedule.

Mr. Chikakane said, "I took on the challenge because I thought that if I could drive without relying on an external power source, the possibilities of electric vehicles would expand. In the future, I would like to improve it so that ordinary people can ride it and try to go around the world. That's it. "
