For a month, the banks of the Garonne have served as a barometer for the Covid-19 epidemic in Toulouse.
In a joint statement, the town hall and the prefecture of Haute-Garonne announced this Saturday evening that these highly prized places in good weather would again be inaccessible to the public, at least until Monday, April 12 inclusive.

In question, according to the document: "the presence of very many people seated and gathered", without respecting the barrier gestures (wearing of the mask, distancing) but with "a strong consumption of alcohol".

The prefect Etienne Guyot and the mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc therefore implemented their threats, since they had indicated during the reopening of the banks that a new closure remained a possibility.
