Identity, address, telephone numbers… Of the nearly 1.4 million inhabitants of Haute-Garonne, 363,770 have seen their personal data hacked and circulated on the Darknet, the “dark side” of the Web.

It is

La Dépêche du Midi

which reveals this case, the existence of which was discovered Monday by a Toulouse computer security company.

All this information appeared in the same file, the data of which belong to a company in the Pink City, specializing in the distribution of prospectuses.

"We are only users of the solution that we rent every month, not the owners," the manager of this company told the regional daily, explaining that this data is hosted by a service provider.

The Anssi (National Agency for the Security of Information Systems) recovered the file to try to solve this (very big) problem.
