An exhibition is being held in Sumida Ward, Tokyo, that conveys the actual situation of the damage caused by the bombing of Tokyo 76 years ago, which killed about 100,000 people, using materials and testimonies.

This exhibition, which is held at the museum in Sumida Ward, displays 42 items including a map showing the situation of the bombing of Tokyo and materials of testimony at that time.

In this panel, the situation when Sadaharu Oh, who was 4 years old at the time and lived in Sumida Ward, was hit by an air raid is introduced on the panel.

In addition to a map showing the route when the mother carried her on her back and evacuated with her sister, you can also see a photo of the Chinese restaurant where Mr. Wang's birthplace was destroyed by air raids.

In addition, a picture depicting the scene of collecting and burning bodies in the park is displayed along with the vivid testimony of a woman who witnessed the situation while searching for her sister who was away after the air raid.

A woman in her 60s who visited the exhibition said, "I felt that the air raid was miserable again. By coming here, I hope that there will be no war again."

Hoshi Ishibashi, curator of the Sumida Heritage Museum, said, "I want you to know and think about the situation of the air raid while reading various materials."

This exhibition is open until May 9th at the Sumida Heritage Museum.
