The Montmartre Street Scene was created by Van Gogh in 1887, when he lived in Paris with his brother Theo.

The painting depicts one of the symbols of Montmartre - the Moulin de la Galette windmill.

Since 1920, the work has been in a private collection, so it was unknown to the public until recently.

Earlier it became known that the "atypical" portrait for Vincent Van Gogh's brush was painted by the Dutch master himself.

This is the conclusion reached by experts in the artist's work after several years of research.
