's pension proposal written after 6 00s went to the National Congress of the People's Republic of China

On March 5, Beijing 101 Middle School received a notice from the National Youth Simulation CPPCC Organizing Committee. The school simulated the excellent proposal of the CPPCC "Recommendations on Incorporating Career Skills Training into Senior High School Labor Education Curriculum" on March 4. Submitted to the National People's Congress on the same day.

The authors of the proposal are six students from the International Department of the school's second year of high school, with an average age of less than 17 years old. They are concerned about the pension issues of 254 million people over 60 years old in China.

There is an age difference of half a century between them. Why do these post-00s pay attention to the topic of elderly care?

The original 6,000-character proposal was overturned and rewritten again and again, and finally a 1,219-character proposal was formed. What stories did you experience?

When a group of real children pay attention to the problem of "old children", what changes will it bring to the students themselves?

Real kids start to pay attention to the problem of "old kids"

Team member Guo Jiaqi remembers that her grandfather had a serious illness in junior high school. At that time, her father worked in the field for a long time, and her grandmother passed away long ago. There was only her mother in the family, and she had to run back and forth in hospitals, schools, and work units every day.

Seeing her mother so busy, Guo Jiaqi didn't know how to share the worries for her mother, and she didn't know what to pay attention to when taking care of the sick old man, "we can only be anxious on the sidelines."

Grandpa finally failed to survive the torture of the illness and left.

That experience made Guo Jiaqi realize: “Knowledge of elderly care is actually very important. I must investigate and understand the problems in elderly care.”

The little friend He Yixuan who fought side by side also missed her grandparents in Sichuan and grandparents in Chongqing.

Parents are usually busy with work, and they rarely go back to their hometown to visit their elders when they live in Beijing.

In her memory, her 80-year-old grandfather and grandmother lived in the mountains and needed to work in the fields by herself, and her eyesight and hearing were declining year by year.

"What if one day they can't walk, can't do work, and need to be taken care of by others, what should they do?"

When determining the proposal, classmate Hao Shuai also voted in favor of the pension proposal.

His aunt suffered a sudden illness, because neighboring neighbors did not know how to rescue, so that she missed the best emergency time and passed away.

"At that time, I felt that this was a situation that needed improvement."

  ...

The safety of the elders gave the children a perceptual understanding of the issue of elderly care.

After distributing 976 valid questionnaires, they obtained the data: more than 92% of their peers believed that they lacked the common sense and skills needed to care for the elderly, and 83% of their peers had not thought about the issue of future parents' pension.

When this group of real children pay attention to the issue of "old kids", and when this focus changes from emotional experience to a rational topic, this group of post-00s children is also changing.

Yin Weixia, a counselor and second-year politics teacher, found that first of all, the children’s perspective has changed, from focusing on the elderly around them to focusing on the living conditions of the elderly in society. In addition, the way they think about problems has also changed: "They encountered problems in the past. At times, I would complain first and criticize for the sake of criticism. Now I start to think about how to solve it and find my own solution. It used to be a destructive criticism, but now it is a constructive criticism."

The practice of the students is synchronized with that of the experts.

my country's elder care service system has achieved remarkable results, but compared with the huge social demand, the effective supply of elder care services is still insufficient.

During the National People’s Congress, Li Nannan, the representative of the National People’s Congress, suggested that the education of elderly care services should start from the baby.

Step into the social "big classroom" in frustrations

This group of post-00s has entered the "big classroom" of society in frustration after frustration.

In April last year, they began to prepare in full swing for the Beijing "Mock CPPCC" competition.

At first, they thought it was not difficult to get out of campus to interview strangers.

As a result, many people refused on the spot with reasons such as "eating" and "being busy with work". "I was very helpless at the time." Guo Jiaqi said. Later, when a merchandise salesman accepted their interview and recommended others When the interviewee was interviewed, she was indescribably excited!

In addition to interviews with strangers, the 6 children also went to nursing homes, skills training centers, and the Civil Affairs Bureau. They faced the staff and learned: "Why no one wants to provide elderly care services? How scarce are elderly care workers? What can we do?"

In the process of overcoming difficulties again and again, the children are also slowly growing.

In their eyes, the most difficult part is the sector discussion during the competition.

The "Simulated CPPCC" activity requires the participating teams to find loopholes in hundreds of other high school students' proposals, ask questions, and at the same time accept other teams' questions and respond.

"We need to quickly read and figure out the content of other people's research, and then find out the subtle problems or loopholes in the proposal, to a large extent exercise our critical ability to see the problem." Guo Jiaqi still remembers that when the most tired, there were 6 groups. Members "brushed hundreds of questions" in one night.

For children, this is a great challenge.

He Yixuan remembered that during a competition session, she needed to explain the content of the proposal on behalf of the entire team, and to answer the queries of other parties on the spot.

"Other team members were in charge of other content of the game. I was very scared at that time." He Yixuan said, she bit the bullet and forced herself to "take the lead." During the response, she slowly found the rhythm of counterattack, even for attacks. Sexual questions are no longer stage fright.

Looking back, this group of children born after 00 agreed that it was too difficult to "find each other's faults" in the game, but they also exercised their own reflection and resilience in the process of accepting doubts.

"Our education cannot be limited to adding courses in schools and carrying out simple activities in institutions. This kind of education has a limited impact on the growth of children." Teacher Yin Weixia felt that the "simulation of the CPPCC" activities allow students to take problems with them. Understand the society, then bring suggestions to serve the society, grow up amidst setbacks, and complete the real connection between "small classroom" and "large classroom".

In the end, in the proposal that was brought to the National Two Sessions, the students suggested: set up nursing courses in high schools, formulate curriculum standards, and develop nursing teaching materials; rely on local nursing homes to establish practical education bases with the theme of nursing; for high school schools Provide skills training courses for caring for the elderly and incorporate them into labor education courses to arrange class hours, etc.

From "single combat" to falling in love with "team combat"

For member Hao Shuai, this "simulated CPPCC" competition is a rare team activity in his learning career.

In the past, he always loved to stay alone in the laboratory to do scientific research, to write questions and to play subject competitions, and to go to the school cafeteria to eat. In the bottom of his heart, he felt that he was more "inclined to pay attention to the personal inner world", even sometimes " Some exclude contact with society".

In making proposals and research, Hao Shuai had to communicate with people from all walks of life and collect more social voices.

The 16-year-old boy has an increased perspective on understanding the world. “I found myself changing from a person who only accepts a single piece of information to a person who obtains information extensively. After learning new things, the world has become wider.”

In the opinion of counselor Yin Weixia, in addition to gaining a lot from studying social issues in this cooperative investigation, the bigger change is that they have formed a small and harmonious group, often gathering together for dinner and discussing issues.

Hao Shuai's experience is even more profound.

Once they stayed up late to write a proposal together, at around 10 o’clock in the evening, the members of the group gathered in the "Tencent Meeting". In the message box, a student suggested that he "this paragraph can be deleted", and another student gave an idea, "This sentence You can change ""The expression of the word is more precise"..."I suddenly understood. It turns out that this is the feeling of teamwork, which is really good."

Since 2016, Beijing 101 Middle School has selected student representatives through clubs and elective courses to go to the Beijing CPPCC for several times to observe the whole process, and a number of mock proposals have been submitted to the Beijing CPPCC for registration.

"In this process, children's attention to society has gradually narrowed from macro topics to people and things around them," said Li Jie, a teacher at the school.

In Li Jie’s memory, the students initially submitted the proposal of "Recommendations on Strengthening the Rule of Law Education among Middle School Students to Enhance Their Awareness of the Rule of Law". In recent years, some children have paid attention to the topic of family education and submitted the "About Education in Primary and Secondary Schools." Proposal for the establishment of a family education consultation room.

"Children's understanding of society is more grounded and down to earth." Li Jie said, "The significance of education lies in educating people. In practice, let children be the'little masters' of society, understand social systems, and pay attention to social phenomena. Exercise the ability to think about and solve problems."

Yin Weixia's other identity is the child's parent.

After her daughter participated in the "Analog CPPCC" competition last year, she now likes to watch the news and is willing to discuss national issues with her parents.

Recently, she told Yin Weixia: "Mom, in my life plan, I think I should go to aid Xinjiang and Tibet."

"Children begin to pay attention to society and regard themselves as a member of society." Yin Weixia said.
