[Explanation] In mid-to-late March, many parts of northern China encountered sand and dust weather. The 750 kV Ganzhou Substation in the east of Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province was completely submerged by yellow sand, and the air was filled with choking soil. In order to escort the safe transmission of green energy to the central and eastern regions, the substation has recently ushered in its first annual overhaul since it was put into operation.

In recent days, yellow sand has hit the north. I have been working here for three or four days. The masks are all yellow sand, and my hat and hair are all yellow sand. Such bad weather, but we cannot stop it. Most people are at home, lying on the sofa, watching TV and eating sunflower seeds. That is the particularity of our work.

Time is tight and the task is heavy, so you can see the weather today, today is the second day of sand and dust weather, but in order to speed up the progress of the project, everyone is still working in the sand and dust weather.

[Explanation] In Huangsha, He Bin, the second class of electrical test in the Transformer Maintenance Center of State Grid Gansu Maintenance Company, and his apprentice Cai Futian have been staying outdoors.

Since joining the work last year, Cai Futian, a 28-year-old graduate student, has been in the wind and sun all day, and his skin looks dark. In his opinion, the theoretical knowledge learned in school is very different from the on-site operation. Master uses his words and deeds to explain his profession during the break Knowledge and common sense of safety have allowed him to enter work quickly.

Not long after I came out of school, I felt that I actually learned a lot in the substation of the equipment area, but the difference is still quite big.

We just want to ensure that the passageway is unimpeded to deliver electricity to the south. What we learned at the time was that two lines could be drawn in place. As a result, it was not the same thing at the scene.

[Explanation] He Bin is an experienced electric power worker. He has worked in the electric power industry for 16 years. Now he has 3 apprentices, all of whom are graduates.

He Bin said that today's young people are highly educated, fast thinking, and strong in learning ability. More importantly, they are willing to endure hardships and are easier to train to become responsible persons.

Because young people think faster than us and learn faster, they can grow up to be responsible in one or two years. This is fast. We used to be slower.

[Explanation] The 750 kV Ganzhou Substation is an important hub substation connecting Gansu Hexi Power Grid, Xinjiang Power Grid, and Qinghai Power Grid. It is responsible for the important task of power exchange between the east and the west of the Northwest Power Grid.

In order to promote the rapid improvement of the skill level of young employees, they will try their best to assign paired masters and apprentices to work together for on-site practical teaching.
