A pleasure boat with a view of Okayama Castle and Korakuen from the river will start operating from the end of this month, and a test drive event was held on the 25th.

Pleasure boats are operated by the call of groups created by Okayama City and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to revitalize the surrounding area.

Starting from the platform near Korakuen on the Asahikawa River that runs through the center, it will take about 30 minutes to travel a total length of 3 km to the south of Okayama Castle.

From the boat, you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons, such as the castle tower and Ishigaki of Okayama Castle, and the rows of cherry blossom trees along the river, from a different perspective than from the ground. ..

The operation will be conducted on a trial basis for half a year until the end of September, and after investigating demand and the age of passengers, we hope to lead to full-scale commercialization thereafter.

Daisuke Yoshida, president of "Okayama Asahikawa Pleasure Cruise," which operates a pleasure boat, said, "I think you can notice a different charm by looking at Okayama Castle and Korakuen from the boat. I want to connect it to activation. "

Pleasure boats will operate hourly from 10 am to 5 pm daily from 31st of this month.
