On the 25th, an explosion occurred at a company workshop in Ota-ku, Tokyo, killing a 49-year-old male employee and injuring another male employee.

Since there was a gas cylinder in the workplace, the Metropolitan Police Department will conduct on-site inspection on the 26th to investigate the cause.

On the evening of the 25th, the Metropolitan Police Department and others were informed that an explosion sounded at the chemical equipment manufacturer "Nippon Techno" in Kugahara, Ota-ku, Tokyo.



When the Metropolitan Police Department and the Tokyo Fire Department rushed to the site, white smoke was emitted from the workshop on the first floor of the five-story building where the company is located, and the window glass was broken and scattered.



According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the explosion caused Masayuki Kamiyama, a 49-year-old employee who was in the workplace at the time, to be taken to the hospital unconscious and died about an hour and a half later.



A male 82-year-old employee was also injured, but his life is not different.



Since there was a gas cylinder in the workplace, the Metropolitan Police Department will conduct a site inspection on the 26th to investigate the cause in detail.



The site is an area where houses and factories are lined up, about 1 km north of Ikegami Station on the Tokyu Ikegami Line.
