The slow TV broadcast has been going on since March 22 and can be seen on Rúv's website and on Youtube.
The camera is usually used to monitor earthquakes in the area but has now been aimed at the volcano.
It was on Friday that the ground opened at Fagradalsfjall near the capital Reykjavik and the volcanic area erupted.
