The health situation linked to the coronavirus forces the organizers of Printemps de Bourges to postpone the 45th edition of the festival.

The event initially scheduled for May 4 to 9 will finally be held from June 22 to 27.

The Estates General of the festivals which were to be held there have also been postponed.

The 45th edition of Printemps de Bourges, which was scheduled from May 4 to 9, is postponed from June 22 to 27, 2021 due to the health situation linked to the coronavirus, the organizers announced on Monday.

"We must anticipate the situation to come and accept that the first days of May no longer offer a health and regulatory framework conducive to the organization of a general public and friendly event," they indicate in a statement.

The States General of festivals also postponed

"The reasons for this postponement express our desires for this very special edition, desired as beautiful as possible", add the organizers.

They want to bring together "all the chances to invite as many spectators to live the concerts, ensure the best reception conditions for all audiences and guarantee a generous festival, open and unifying to an entire territory".

Tickets for shows that have already been postponed remain valid.

The deadline for reimbursement is extended to June 20, 2021. The programming of the 45th edition will be announced in the coming weeks, they still specify.

The Printemps de Bourges was to host the second part of the Estates General of Festivals in May in the presence of the Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot.

It will finally be held on June 22, the ministry said.
