The corona vaccine from the US health company Johnson & Johnson has been approved in Switzerland.
It is the third vaccine that the Swissmedic medicines authority has approved.
However, Switzerland did not order any vaccine doses from J&J during the course of the year, with reference to a late delivery.
So far, the Alpine republic has secured around 36 million cans from other manufacturers.
The vaccines from Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna have also been approved so far.
AstraZeneca, CureVac and Novavax have not yet received approval.
