Yamagata Prefecture announced that 31 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
The number of daily infection confirmation announcements in the prefecture exceeded 22 on December 12, last year, the highest number ever.
A total of 646 people have been confirmed to be infected in Yamagata Prefecture.
