[Explanation] On March 21, Zhang Wenliang, Zhang Hongliang, and Zhang Weiliang were busy in their studios in Pingding County, Yangquan City, Shanxi Province.

They came from a family of local ceramics, and they are masters of ceramic art with intangible heritage skills.

Pingding ceramics has a long history. According to the records of Tiangong Kaiwu, Pingding was one of the five high-quality clay producing areas in ancient China.

Pingding carved porcelain, using local materials and applying art in accordance with the material, its "wet method" craftsmanship makes the carved porcelain form a simple and natural, clumsy artistic style.

In the 1990s, Pingding carved porcelain was on the verge of a crisis of dating and loss.

Father Zhang Cong took their three brothers to set up a ceramic workshop in his ancestral home, so that the "Pingding black-glazed carved porcelain technique" can be inherited and protected.

Zhang Cong became the first ceramic artist in Shanxi to win the "Chinese Ceramic Art Lifetime Achievement Award".

Zhang Wenliang is Zhang Cong's eldest son, a Chinese ceramic artist, and the inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage Pingding black-glazed carved ceramic production skills.

In terms of craftsmanship, we are different from other places. It uses a wet method, because the glaze can only be applied thickly and thickly when the body is wet.

After it's burned out, maybe when we touch the glaze, it looks fleshy and plump at first glance, and the feeling of lumps and lumps is actually due to its strong three-dimensional effect.

So in short, the glaze is thick, the ornamentation is simple, unpretentious and heavy, plump and full, and the three-dimensional feeling is its biggest feature.

[Explanation] Based on the excavation of traditional craftsmanship, Zhang Wenliang boldly innovated, created the "kiln-changing wood-leaf" craft and the "yunshui porcelain" technique, and created the "Pingding carved porcelain intangible heritage museum" to "one-sided porcelain" Tell the story of Pingding ceramics.

Zhang Wenliang's second brother, Zhang Hongliang, is the master of ceramic art in Shanxi Province and the inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage project Pingding sandware making skills.

In the past 20 years, we have taken a road of excavation, sorting, collection, restoration, rescue, inheritance, and innovation, and built the first sand museum in China. Then we are also in a single sand casserole and medicine pot, and then In these two single varieties, there are now thousands of varieties.

[Explanation] Zhang Hongliang has developed a non-radiation glaze sandblasting process, which makes the traditional sandware process a new look.

Today, the annual output of Zhang's Sandware Pottery Workshop can reach 700,000 pieces, and the products are sold all over the country, and even exported to Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands and other countries.

The third brother Zhang Weiliang is the master of ceramic art in Shanxi Province and the inheritor of the provincial intangible cultural heritage project "Black Glaze Carved Ceramics". Now he still sticks to his ancestral home's workshop, researching ceramic raw material formulas, and producing unique kiln crystal glaze artworks.

I am on the basis of the predecessors, now it has been burned for fifteen or six years, how can I make this flower bigger, more beautiful and more beautiful, in fact, it belongs to special raw materials, special glaze The firing of the kiln is the only way to form this. It can be said that tens of thousands of firings are absolutely not repeated. This is the greatest charm of the kiln change.

[Explanation] Nowadays, the "three brothers" of a family have their own intangible heritage skills, and use their ingenuity to "handle" the art of mud and fire.

As a person, I tell many people that my skills will not be brought into the soil or into the coffin.

I hope that these brilliant treasures of our Chinese civilization can be carried forward.
