According to a media report, there have been a number of complaints about sexual harassment among the London police in recent years.

Between 2012 and 2018, a total of 594 such complaints were received - this is shown by a research published on Sunday by the newspaper “Observer”, which had requested the documents under the Freedom of Information Act.

The research increases the pressure on the Metropolitan Police, which after protests over the murder of the 33-year-old British girl Sarah E. is sharply criticized for their crackdown - especially against women.

There are several particularly serious cases among the complaints.

Another police officer allegedly filmed a woman having non-consensual sex in a park.

The Metropolitan Police said they were taking the allegations very seriously.

"Although only a small proportion of our employees are affected by the allegations, we recognize the effects that each individual attack has on those involved," it said in a statement.
