To those who are suspicious of AstraZeneca, the Italian Commissioner in charge of the Economy replies: "the vaccine is a privilege more than a risk".

He sweeps aside criticism of the Commission's management of vaccine purchasing: “European solidarity is the solution, not the problem.

Without that, we would be in a real nightmare ”.

His credo: we must speed up the vaccination, explain that "this is the last effort" to improve the situation.
