The Ariégeois will not necessarily realize it, as the atmosphere promises to be winter by this weekend.
The prefecture thus announces snowfall "at very low altitude" on the relief of the Pyrenees, between Friday morning and Saturday morning.
Nothing crazy at this time, but the quantities will still be relatively large above 1,500 meters, with up to 30 cm of powder expected.
Around 1,000 m, a layer between 10 and 20 cm should cover the soil.
Even lower, between 600 and 800 m, it should fall 3 to 8 cm, or even 10 cm locally.
Beware of frozen roads
Precipitation is expected to be moderate on Friday, before gradually losing intensity.
But even if the falls will be over on Saturday morning, motorists will have to be careful as some roads will still be snowy and frozen due to the drop in temperatures.
