A special admission ticket was sold to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the opening of the JR Sanyo Main Line from Okayama Prefecture to Onomichi Station in Hiroshima Prefecture, and many railroad fans were buying it.

The JR Sanyo Main Line opened 130 years ago in 1884, from the prefectural border with Hyogo Prefecture to Okayama Station, and was extended to Onomichi Station in Hiroshima Prefecture that year.

JR West sold special admission tickets to commemorate this at eight stations in the prefecture and Hiroshima prefecture, and about 120 railroad fans lined up at Okayama station.

An admission ticket for 14 stations made of old-fashioned cardboard called a "hard ticket" and a mount with a photo of the former station building printed on it were sold for 3000 yen.

A man in his 50s, who is from Soja City and now lives in Hyogo Prefecture, said, "The Sanyo Main Line is a memorable route that I often used. I want to enjoy watching the now rare" hard ticket "."

In addition, a man in his 50s who visited from Nagoya said, "There was a line up from the morning. It would be nice if the mount included photos and history."
