Six people, including Japanese-style painter Hiroshi Senju, were selected for this year's Japan Art Academy Prize, which is given to those who have made outstanding achievements in the field of art.

The 25-meter-long bran painting "Takizu" dedicated to Kongobuji Temple in Koyasan was highly evaluated as a culmination of works that established new expressions and possibilities for Japanese painting.

Strong leadership in music art in general has been highly evaluated not only in Japan but also internationally, and it has been said that it has made a great contribution to education.



The two were also selected for the "Imperial Prize of the Japan Academy" for their outstanding achievements.
