TF1 will adapt the concept of John de Mol's Dutch program "Marble Mania", according to our colleagues on the Puremédias site.

This show is a marbles game competition.

After the arrival at the end of 2020 of "Lego Masters" on M6, the trend of TV shows seems to be back joyfully in the world of childhood.

How many years have it been since you played marbles?

The timeless playground game could experience a new fashion effect thanks to TF1.

According to our colleagues at

Puremédias

, the channel has indeed just acquired the concept of the

Marble Mania program

, a Dutch concept of marbles racing, broadcast on SBS6 and imagined by John de Mol.

This TV producer is also responsible for the shows

The Voice

and

Big Brother

.

It is Satisfaction, Arthur's production company, which will adapt this game for France.

Is television in decline?

The

Marble Mania

show

is more precisely a marbles competition organized around a race of caps, agates and other nugget marbles, in spectacular settings.

In this televised competition, celebrities will compete for the benefit of an association.

 The French version of

Marble Mania

will be broadcast in prime time on TF1.

The arrival in France of this show around a playground game reminds us of another "regressive" show:

Lego Masters

.

This program, launched here in December 2020 by M6, is a competition for the most spectacular possible constructions in small plastic bricks.

It remains to be seen whether

Marble Mania

and

Lego Masters

fall under the epiphenomenon, or if these shows are the precursors of a basic trend of television, attracted by a joyous regression welcome in times of crisis.
