Yoon Yeo-jeong, the first Korean actor to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the movie'Minari', expressed his feelings that the nomination was unexpected, saying, "I never thought of it even in my dreams."

He explained that when he arrived in Korea after his filming schedule in Vancouver, Canada, he received news from his manager that he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.



He recently visited Canada to film the drama'Pachinko' of the video streaming company Apple TV Plus and returned to Korea yesterday (15th).



As soon as he arrived at the airport, he found out that he was nominated for an Oscar an hour later. "The manager is much younger than me, but when I was browsing the internet, he suddenly told me,'Wow, I was nominated.' I did not cry."



"The manager became more emotional than me (at the news of the Oscar nomination), and I felt stupid too," he said. "So I just hugged the manager and was in the living room."
