Miyagi Prefecture and Sendai City announced on the 15th that 20 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
The cumulative number of infected people in the prefecture is 4,116, including those who have already recovered.
Sendai City also announced that one patient infected with the new coronavirus has died.
Infection was confirmed in Miyagi prefecture, and 26 people died.
