Yamanashi Prefecture announced on the 13th that it was confirmed that an elderly male patient aged 65 and over who died at a medical institution in the prefecture was infected with the new coronavirus.
The cause of death is currently under investigation.
A total of 951 people have been confirmed infected in the prefecture.
