Fifteen years later, the assassination of Marine Boisseranc near Lyon still remains a mystery.

The young woman's lifeless body was found at her home in Chazay d'Azergues in 2005. The investigation has never been resolved.

But the testimonies of the two inhabitants of Beaujolais, published in the daily

Le Progrès

, could give it new impetus.

Both claim to have met Stéphane Moitoiret, convicted of the murder of little Valentin, and his former companion Noëlla Hego in the area on the day of the tragedy.

A call for witnesses was therefore launched by the central direction of the judicial police, reveals this Sunday

Le Progrès

.

All people who could have seen the couple on October 11, 2005 and who could have accommodated them during this period, are invited to contact the Central Office for the Repression of Violence to Persons by email: dcpj-ocrvp-appel-a-temoin @ interieur.gouv.fr.

Moitoiret sentenced in 2013 to 30 years of criminal imprisonment

"This couple traveled by bicycle, they generally arrived at the end of the day in the villages and asked to be accommodated", recalls the judicial police, specifying that Stéphane Moitoiret used to make "contact with an elected representative, a representative of the parish or inhabitant ”.

“They presented themselves as pilgrims and asked to be accommodated in the village hall, in the catechism room or at the inhabitant's”, she continues.

Stéphane Moitoiret was sentenced on appeal, on November 22, 2013, to 30 years of criminal imprisonment by the Rhône Assize Court for having killed, five years earlier, Valentin Crémault.

The little boy, who was quietly cycling in the streets of Lagnieu, had been stabbed 44 times one evening in July.

Presented as the instigator of this murder, Noëlla Hego had received a 4-year prison sentence but her complicity had not been retained by the jurors.

Last December, a retiree said he had crossed the couple 400 meters from the house of Marine Boisseranc, stabbed twelve times.

A few days later, a teacher had also testified to having seen the two misfits chased by a winegrower accusing them of theft.
