An event was held in Tokushima City to enjoy the Awa Odori, which was canceled last year due to the influence of the new coronavirus, while taking measures against infection.

This event was organized by an organization made up of restaurant owners and staff in Tokushima City, and 25 stalls lined up in a section of about 100 meters along the central street with traffic restrictions.

In addition to temperature measurement and disinfection, the staff frequently disinfected the table for 200 seats and took measures against infection, while the visitors were eating yakisoba and fried chicken deliciously.

Then, when the dancers of a group called "Ren" appeared, everyone's eyes gathered on the stage, and when they started a sharp dance to the sound of drums and kane, the venue was filled with enthusiasm.

An 11-year-old girl who came with her family said, "I enjoyed seeing the Awa Dance Festival in Tokushima for the first time in a while."

In Tokushima City, the Awa Odori was canceled for the first time after the war due to the spread of infection last year, and the restaurant and accommodation industries were greatly affected.

Yoshinori Nakatani, executive committee chairman of the Tokushima City Restaurant Corona Countermeasures Council, who planned the event, said, "I'm glad if you think that restaurants are safe by taking sufficient measures against infection. I want you to continue such an event. When a voice comes out, it becomes our energy. "
