Recently, the reporter came to Jiaowei Township, Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province to see the "southernmost point of mainland China".
It faces the Qiongzhou Strait to the east and south, and the Beibu Gulf to the west, making it a place for tourists to take pictures.
It is worth mentioning that the Dengloujiao in Jiaowei Township is the main architectural symbol of the southernmost point in mainland China. The tower is the earliest navigation lighthouse on the Leizhou Peninsula and an important navigation aid for the trade routes between China and Southeast Asia.
Attached to the corner of Denglou is the combined water line of the Qiongzhou Strait and the Beibu Gulf. The Qiongzhou Strait current flows from east to west, and the Beibu Gulf current from north to south meets and embraces. They beat each other to form a "V-shaped wave", which is also called a "kissing wave" by netizens.
