The Mohammed bin Zayed School of Falconry and Desert Physiognomy, in Ramah and Tilal Resort in Al Ain, witnessed a great demand for learning the art of Arab falconry and the traditions of living in the desert.

So far, the school has managed to attract 2021 students of both sexes, of whom 1163 are males and 858 are females, in addition to organizing special programs that attract tourists, to become a major educational, cultural and tourism destination in the region.

In light of the precautionary measures to prevent the Corona epidemic, the school affiliated to the Emirates Falconers Club has moved for a period towards e-learning, as it provided workshops specialized in falconry via the Internet to the summer schools of the Ministry of Education, while today, distance learning programs continue for their fifth season on a weekly basis, amid widespread demand And according to the latest technologies, in partnership with the School Links Program of the International Federation of Falconry and Conservation of Birds of Prey (IAF), and the Al-Dar Academy in Al-Ain.

The Mohammed bin Zayed School for Falconry and Desert Physiology was inaugurated in December 2016, as the first pioneering platform specialized in the world in teaching the art of Arab falconry, as the school received its first batch of students, aged between seven and 17 years.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Emirates Falconers Club, Majid Ali Al Mansoori, said that “the school aims to raise awareness of the value of falconry as a human heritage, and to instill the correct principles and practices of this authentic Arab heritage in the youth,” indicating that the initiative is part of the efforts made to deepen communication between the present and the past. And reviving the achievements of the pioneering falconer in the world, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his original approach to preserving the sport of falconry and passing it on to future generations.

The school offers a package of distinctive educational programs, including: theoretical lessons in falconry (types, anatomy, and prey, principles of falconry and its ethics), how to preserve falcons (principles of dealing with them, and how to sustain them), and practical lessons for falconry (dealing with falcons, training, breeding and caring for them) And preservation of it), Farasah Desert (etiquette, workmanship, and ethics to be followed).

The school includes a library, a collection of old and rare falconry equipment, and an exhibition that includes a unique bouquet of pictures of the late Sheikh Zayed, as he shares his favorite hobby.
