Group Black Pink Rose's solo debut single swept the top of iTunes charts around the world.
According to the agency YG Entertainment, the title song'On The Ground', the title song of Rosé's 1st album'R', released yesterday (12th), ranked #1 on the iTunes'Top Song' chart in 51 countries.
In the United States, Canada, Mexico, Spain, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, etc., it ranked first in various regions and also topped the'Worldwide' chart.
Even though the entire lyrics were composed in English, this song reached No. 1 on major domestic music charts such as Genie Music and Bugs right after the release.
The music video also surpassed 35 million views, and the agency said, "You are sure to be the #1 most watched video in 24 hours on YouTube."
'R' is a solo single released for the first time in about 4 and a half years after Rose debuting in black pink.
Earlier, it achieved 400,000 copies in pre-order within four days of pre-order, setting the highest record as a female solo singer in Korea.
